TimberTech Buildings consists of a main module and some add-on modules, which can be purchased separately, including the module for the Seismic risk classification of construction, the fire design of timber structural members and the module for the automatic printing of the bill of quantities.
The main characteristics of the additional module for the Seismic risk classification of constructions are reported below.
ADD-ON MODULE SEISMIC RISK CLASSIFICATION FEATURES
The TimberTech Buildings add-on module Seismic risk classification of constructions allows you to calculate the seismic risk class of a building and print the certificate.
Specifically, you can classify the seismic risk of the building using the conventional method of Annex A of the Ministerial Decree n° 58 of 28th February 2017 and subsequent amendments “Guidelines for the seismic risk classification of the construction”.
The module has the following features:
- Modification of the seismic action: you can modify the entity of the seismic action used in the analysis simply changing, for each limit state, the percentage ag / ag, ref, which represents the ratio between the maximum horizontal acceleration of the soil ag of the modified seismic action and the seismic action of the site.
- Automatic determination of the building capacity PGAc: the software automatically identifies the value of the percentage of the modified seismic action that corresponds to the building capacity in term of PGAc (referred to as PGAc)
- Seismic risk classification of the building and printing of the certificate. The method used to determine the seismic risk class uses two parameters: the Expected Average Annual Losses (PAM) and the safety index (IS-V) as defined in Annex A of the Italian Ministerial Decree n° 58 of February 28th, 2017 and subsequent amendments “Guidelines for the seismic risk classification of the constructions”. After carrying out the classification, you can print the certificate.
